This desk exists for one job: follow power, money, and documents in U.S. politics — then show our work in public.

We are an investigative political OSINT watchdog. That means we prioritize primary records: FEC filings, congressional releases, court dockets, committee reports, agency data dumps, and contemporaneous reporting that can be checked. We package hard facts in plain English. We do not invent quotes, inflate numbers, or launder rumors into “scoops.”

What “prove it in the open” means

  • Source-linked claims. If we assert a figure, a vote, a filing, or a quote, we point to a public URL or document you can open yourself.
  • Money trails first. Campaign cash, dark-money transfers, independent expenditures, contractor payouts, and war-cost accounting are not sidebars. They are the story.
  • Documents over vibes. Press releases, subpoenas, contempt resolutions, and budget letters beat anonymous spin.
  • Correction culture. If a number or characterization is wrong, we update the record instead of burying it.
